It’s a good day for Tony Khan as All Elite Wrestling will receive a tax benefit from the state of Ohio. Today, the Ohio Department of Development and Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced that $36.7 million in state tax credits will support 17 theater, television, and film production projects in Ohio.
As per the official document, The Ohio Film Tax Credit Program provides a refundable tax credit of 30% on cast and crew salaries and other expenses in the state for eligible productions. These include feature films, documentaries, Broadway and pre-Broadway productions, miniseries, video games, and music videos.
“Ohio is an ideal location for entertainment production. We offer big city backdrops, small town appeal, and everything in between,” said Governor DeWine in a press release. “We’re happy to welcome these productions — and the economic impact they’ll bring — to Ohio.” AEW is on the list of TV series that will enjoy these benefits. With Tony Khan’s company receiving a $1,275,000 tax credit in the state of Cleveland. It should be noted that this fiscal program is planned for the 2024-2025 season. Which will begin next October.

During an appearance on Busted Open Radio, AEW wrestler Thunder Rosa spoke about WWE’s presence and accused the company of getting involved in a market where AEW also has a dominant influence. Rosa said that this decision is a capitalist issue and that she finds the game that WWE intends to play very interesting.
“I think it’s very interesting, the timing that this is happening. It’s so interesting…It’s game on. Game is on and they are doing everything business-wise to become a company that is bulletproof and now [they’re] targeting a market AEW is targeting…It’s capitalism 101.” At the moment, WWE has not confirmed that it will hold WrestleMania in London. However, Triple H recently met with the mayor of the city and has started conversations about it. More will likely be known in the coming months about this possible celebration of WrestleMania in London. What do you think? Will WrestleMania 42 be held in the UK after WrestleMania 41 which will be in Las Vegas? Let us know in the comments.
