Looks like the feud between Jack Perry and CM Punk won’t come to an end anytime soon. The former Jungle Boy’s name came back to the fore last Wednesday on Dynamite, as footage of what happened at All In: London was shown shedding light on the incident with the Best in the World. This led to the latter’s departure from AEW and subsequent return to WWE.
Wanting to capitalize on the footage seen on Dynamite, the Scapegoat made himself heard in NJPW. How? By taking another dig at the Chicago-Made of course. But now he is being trolled for his attempt at mocking the Cult of Personality. And one of the trolls is O’Shea Jackson Jr., son of Ice Cube.

At Windy City Riot, New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s PPV, Jack Perry faced Shota Umino in a match that ended up in defeat for Jungle Boy. However, the Scapegoat stood out not so much for the match, but more for his entrance instead.
In fact, Perry entered with a Chicago flag, which was then dropped, while his jacket had the words “Cry Me a River” written on it. Another reference to All In London. A move that was trolled online by O’Shea Jackson, son of Ice Cube and a very well-known wrestling fan.
Taking to his X (Twitter), he tweeted the clip and captioned the post, “CM Punk is on 3 different promotions”. This is a reference to Punk being in WWE, being shown in AEW, and now mocked in NJPW.

The NJPW audience joined in and made itself heard when Perry pulled the stunt. Singing choruses related to the affair with the Best in the World, and in general, all that happened in the AEW PPV in London. But while the fans in attendance might’ve loved this move, the same cannot be said for the virtual realm.
Fans rally in support of CM Punk
As soon as the clip hit the internet, fans rallied to share their thoughts on it. And it took no time for them to start mocking AEW and Jack Perry. Several claim that CM Punk is still being used as a tool for them to stay relevant. Sharing their thoughts, here are some of the tweets:
One fan claims that Perry is stealing Punk’s moves as he used the GTS in the aforementioned match.
Perry has no creative ability.
His promos suck and now he's stealing gimmicks and moves lol

This fan found it amusing how Punk is still being used to make headlines.
Amazing how punk who isn’t there is helping them still lol

Another fan was left amazed at how Punk is helping three promotions at once.
Bro drew big audiences for 2 companies and is a top draw in the other, plus he made Jack Perry more popular than he's ever been in his career…
Call him Philanthropic Phil 🤘🔥 pic.twitter.com/k97fwaau88

Another fan did not hold back at calling out Jack Perry for devaluing NJPW.
We just watched this clown Jack Perry get humiliated and embarrassed on tv on Wednesday. How can anyone take him seriously? He devalues any promotion who would have him on their show.

Well, it surely looks like the fans did not appreciate the jab. After all, Punk is too busy creating his angles and storylines in the WWE. So maybe it’s time for AEW and Jack Perry to move on. What do you think? Was this the right move by Perry? Let us know in the comments.
