The last week has been a tough time for CM Punk. With the news of his termination at AEW making it big, the former AEW star is still licking his wounds.

By now, Punk’s termination has reached all four corners of the wrestling world. After his backstage brawl with “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry at All In, the star was terminated following an investigation by AEW. As fans come to terms with the shocking news, however, some in the wrestling world have been quick to trash-talk Punk, including The Young Bucks.

When Kenny Omega entered the ring at All Out, fans in Chicago gave him a warm welcome, which is what he usually gets from crowds worldwide. But it was a different story for The Young Bucks, Matt and Nick Jackson. The brothers came out to wrestle as part of Bullet Club Gold, just before the main event between Orange Cassidy and Jon Moxley.

With the leader of Bullet Club Gold, Jay White, replacing Punk on Collision posters, the Bucks seemed to poke fun at Punk’s dismissal. The two sported the same gear that they had been wearing at AEW All Out 2022 when Punk was first suspended from the company. Their arrival at the arena and their seemingly cheeky reference towards Punk’s dismissal was met with boos from the crowd, who chanted for Punk.

The fans present in the stadium eventually calmed down, and they even cheered for The Young Bucks a few times during the match. But in a match that was already filled with lots of excitement and drama involving all three teams, which is not common in a four-on-four tag team match, the initial reaction from the crowd was against the good guys. This was unusual for The Young Bucks, who are used to getting cheered for by the fans.

Fans of AEW are quite familiar with the dynamics between CM Punk and The Young Bucks. Things turned sour between them after the 2022 AEW All-Out media scrum. Their appearance on Collision was the first after a long absence from the arena. Whether they were taking a dig at Punk or not, fans had mixed feelings about their appearance on AEW All Out

Mixed reactions to seeing The Young Bucks at All Out

After seeing The Young Bucks on stage, fans took to social media to express their views on the tag team duo. Fans took the brother’s gesture as a cheeky dig at Punk.

Overall, the response seemed to be that the Bucks had seen their chance and took it. Especially since Punk and the brothers had been feuding for a while.

Other, more hardcore Punk fans, took to insulting the duo’s entrance, calling the two children.
