Professional wrestling is based on how the wrestlers in the ring perform in certain spots. However, some spots are to be done secretly in front of LIVE crowd, but seems Chris Jericho wasn’t able to do that on recent AEW Dynamite.

In a pro-wrestling match, a wrestler uses a blade when there is a planned spot of getting busted open on the forehead. A similar thing happened in the recent AEW match between Jericho and Eddie Kingston, where Le Champion used a blade to cut himself. However, the fans, during the match, spotted Jericho blading himself.

The pro wrestling fans know that AEW often showcases matches, including the wrestlers get busted open. Furthermore, in the recent AEW Dynamite: Fyter Fest episode, fans expected blood in the Barbed Wire Death Match between Chris Jericho and Eddie Kingston.

A fan posted a video on Twitter, where we can see Jericho cutting his forehead. The fan wrote how visibly the WWE legend was using the blade in the middle of the ring.

It seems the fans did not take the move of the first AEW World Champion very well. Moreover, Chris Jericho had brought his Japanese hard-hitting gimmick of The Painmaker in this No DQ match. The match started with Kingston hitting Jericho with the mic on the head.

The story was Kingston wanted to win, but he wanted to hurt Jericho more than anything else and he accomplished that. After the match ended, Kingston threw Jericho on the barbed-wired spider-web, which was outside the ring.

AEW fans react to the Chris Jericho visibly cutting himself

It did not make the AEW fans happy when Chris Jericho was using the blade while the camera was directly on him. You can see the reactions given by the fans below on social media.

With the outside interference cancelling each other out, Kingston put Jericho in a stretch submission hold, but a returning Sammy Guevara would break it up. Jericho would nail Kingston with the Judas Effect and quickly pinned him winning the match.

This is not the first time Jericho was part of a Barbed Wired Death Match. Back in 1993, he had wrestled in a similar kind of match before breaking it into WCW and WWE. The fans did not expect this rookie mistake from the former WWE Undisputed Champion.

There were some magnificent spots too, one of which when Jericho connected the ‘Walls of Jericho’ on the barbed wire table, and when Eddie Kingston ‘Superplexed’ Jericho on the wired table from the apron.
