Can Tony Khan's WCW-inspired strategy save AEW, or is it a recipe for disaster?

Tony Khan and AEW have been experiencing significant setbacks in recent months since product ratings have been low. The corporation is not even attempting to do anything different right now, and it appears they are unsure what to do. A wrestling veteran may have seen these things and provided valuable suggestions to the firm.

We’re talking about Eric Bischoff, who just published a YouTube video discussing AEW and its product. The WWE legend has alleged that Tony Khan is to blame for the company’s failure because he refused to attempt new things. Aside from this allegation, Bischoff likened the AEW’s predicament to the WCW’s, which was quite similar. WCW was experiencing a similar decline, although at the time they provided free tickets, which helped them regain market interest.

Wrestling Veteran used this example to urge AEW to do something similar, as he wants Tony Khan to find a means to offset the crisis as quickly as possible. Eric Bischoff stated in the video, “You want your shows to look as good as they can. So what are you going to do? You’re going to give away tickets. And a year from now, you’re going to go back to that market and you’re going to give away more tickets. It’s a bad pattern, and you’ve got to find a way to break it. And the only way to break it is to create hot programming.”

AEW must find a solution quickly, as they require WBD’s assistance for improved future performance and they need to impress them. But what can Khan do?

Tony Khan can actually do something about the fans in attendance

If you don’t know, AEW has a lower TV rating as well as lower audience attendance. Due to the poor attendance, the company’s events are not looking very nice, as you are all aware that the number of fans in the audience makes a show appear good or awful. As a result, even if Khan is unable to improve his ratings, he should focus on the individuals in attendance.

AEW can cut ticket prices or offer complimentary tickets as a result of which they will be able to attract a large crowd to the shows. With this crowd support, they will be able to promote themselves more effectively in front of WBD, allowing them to sign the agreement. Although rumor is that the contract has already been inked, no announcements have been made.
