Recently, speaking on The Rich Eisen Show, Austin praised the AEW commentator. The Texas Rattlesnake picked him over Paul Heyman and Vince McMahon for a particular situation.

When asked to pick his tag team partner among Heyman, Vince McMahon, and Jim Ross, Austin took JR’s name.
He said, “I am going to go with my guy, Jim Ross. Paul Heyman is so instrumental in my career. If it wasn’t for any of these men here, I wouldn’t be here. I love them all.”
Further, Austin explained why he picked Jim Ross. The WWE legend said, “I am going to go with Jim Ross on this because he was there when I had my neck surgery.”
“He was there to reunite myself with the company when I had parted ways due to some bad booking decisions, in my opinion,” Austin added.
Jim Ross and Steve Austin share a special bond. And Ross even had a talk with recently on Austin’s WrestleMania 38 plans.
