Mercedes Mone’s wrestling future has been under constant scrutiny ever since she left the Stamford-based company two years ago. The wrestling fraternity speculated on where she would land next until The Boss picked up a gig with her dream promotion NPJW and left an unforgettable mark there. However, now, as her contract ends, the former WWE icon is slated to jump on to the next phase of her career, allegedly AEW.
Ahead of her speculated Big Business debut this week, there has been huge buzz around the former Sasha Banks’ potential storyline in the promotion. And we can’t help hopping on that bandwagon. Here are a few probable bookings Tony Khan might have planned for The Boss.

Mercedes Mone’s speculated AEW debut started doing the rounds on the internet after Tony Khan made it obvious with his several teases. Mercedes Mone is already believed to have penned a deal with AEW a while back. It’s just Khan’s way of revealing it in a perfect moment. With Big Business’ date knocking on the door, the head honcho has left no stone unturned in hyping up the big event.
In between his speeches, the emphasis on the word ‘Boston’ came as a massive cue on what we can expect at the upcoming AEW PPV as it is set in Mone’s hometown on March 13. Later on, Mone herself came with a handful of hints back to back. Her latest assurance on this came via an Instagram post, where the former WWE champion mentioned ‘Big Business’ significantly.
Now, as we have negligible doubt over her AEW arrival, it begs the obvious question of how. It is very likely for The Boss debut to resemble CM Punk’s Survivor Series debut. Punk kicked off the night in his hometown Chicago as part of a highly secretive plan. We can see the same panning out for Mone in Boston. She might come out and open the show in a jaw-dropping segment in front of her huge homegrown crowd.
Coming to her first possible opponent, there’s a high chance for Serena Deeb to step in. Deeb called herself The Boss in Collision, teasing a future beef with the former WWE legend. So, it won’t be an out-of-the-blue affair for her to get on the nerves of Mone on the very first night of her advent.
Serena Deeb calls herself the Final Boss.
That’s interesting

Also, for them, engaging in a non-title match will make perfect sense, as the company might not tip Mone in a title picture this early.
Moving forward, there’s another twist in the plot. While Mone’s AEW arrival is inevitable, WWE fans also have some hope left in their bag. However, it doesn’t seem likely as Mercedes Mone had a tumultuous past with the Stamford-based company.
