The current hot topic of the pro wrestling universe is where will Sasha Banks go next. The star who competed at NJPW at the start of this year has been out of WWE since May 2022. Since then, there have been rumors that suggest she might either go to AEW or get back to WWE. While the rumors are still running hot, Mercedes Mone a.k.a Banks dropped another hint on social media about her future.

This has added to the string of hints being dropped by her. While there was word that she is in talks with All Elite Wrestling, looks like she might be more interested in WWE.

In an Instagram story posted by Banks, the 31-year-old star could be seen sitting inside a pro wrestling ring. This could be a hint that the star has started training to make a big comeback to a major promotion. However, what is eye-catching is the fact that Triple H was also in the photo. Well not physically, but a poster of his stuck on the wall could be seen. While there are no updates that the photo is from the WWE Performance Center, Banks has been trying to send a message by using Triple H’s name.

This is not the first time The Boss used Triple H’s name to drop a hint at her return to WWE. A couple of days ago, on Christmas Eve, she posted a tweet in which she wrote, “Happy, Happy, Holidays.” Along with that, she wrote, “All I want for Christmas is Moné.” This was enough for fans to start making speculations about her WWE return.

The fandom was shocked when Banks and her tag team partner Naomi made headlines as they decided to leave WWE. While there were many rumors as to why the two decided to leave, the primary reason was said to be creative differences and the salary being paid to her.

While it might look like things have been resolved between Banks and WWE, that might not be the case.

What’s stopping Sasha Banks from returning to WWE?

It was reported by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select that AEW and Banks might not be reaching a mutual point where the two parties could strike a deal. While it did give some hope to WWE fans, their dreams were shattered once again by another piece of news. According to industry insiders, the reason why Banks is not able to strike a deal with either WWE or AEW is because the offers are not meeting her expectations.

It was reported that Banks has been asking WWE fees which is almost at par with The Queen of WWE, Charlotte Flair. As per reports, Flair is the highest-paid female star in the history of WWE. While there are no details on her salary, it is reported that she enjoys many perks including a private tour bus for shows. Maybe what Banks meant in her X (formerly Twitter) post was she wanted more money from Triple H. Only time will tell when fans might get to see Banks back in the ring.
