Is Ricochet's new AEW moniker the game-changer he needed to finally dominate the wrestling world?

Ricochet finally did it. He came through and gave life to the rumors of his AEW signing. Fans had been waiting for him to pick a destination after his WWE contract ended in June this year. At All In 2024, we saw him returning to the squared circle after a couple of month-long hiatus. He received such an amazing pop from the crowd present at the Wembley Stadium that AEW monetized it immediately.

This will work greatly in the promotion’s favor because fans seemed hungry for his appearance as soon as he appeared. Even though Ricochet did not win the match that he entered in, he had quite a moment on the screen where his aerial skills were shining through and now AEW even has a tagline for him.

Even in WWE, Ricochet seemed to be one of the best at what he did in the ring. ‘King’ Ricochet may not be the king anymore, but AEW is still giving him his due respect. The merchandise that they are introducing for him contains his new moniker and tagline. Although the former WWE Speed Champion didn’t win the Gauntlet Match that he debuted in, fans loved seeing him. You can now spot his merchandise over at the AEW online shop. The main tagline his merch seems to have is “Outta this world.” This might be the moniker and tagline that he will use moving forward in the Jacksonville-based company.

He is also giving back to the promotion already. During his debut, the former WWE star donned a black and gold outfit, the colors of AEW, that showed how dedicated he already is to his new workplace. Nevertheless, the former Intercontinental champion’s switch to the Florida-based promotion has been a long time coming.

Viewers have been anticipating Ricochet’s debut since forever

As we said before, there had been no reports confirming the WWE wrestler’s move to AEW. However, this was an obvious move that people were anticipating for a while now. Even during an online discussion, Dave Meltzer opined that he has a certain ‘style’ that will allow him to fit in better in his new roster. According to the reporter, Ricochet would have made money anywhere that he wanted, but it all would come down to where he remains the happiest. Turns out, AEW is the way to go for him. But will this mean that he will no longer be working with his fiance?
