Will Ricochet's move to AEW finally give him the spotlight he deserves?

During an episode of RAW in June, Ricochet was sent off the venue in an ambulance. This was after a horrific attack by Raon Breakker. In professional wrestling, when a star is sent off in an ambulance, it is mostly due to the fact that they have been written off on television. This was the case with Ricochet, whose contract with the company was over, and he wasn’t staying.

Furthermore, during this period, AEW’s Will Ospreay began dropping hints that the former WWE Speed Champion would join Tony Khan‘s company. After almost a month and a half of speculation, we finally have some definitive answers.

Fightful Select reported that Ricochet is scheduled for upcoming AEW shows. The news also states that he has signed a multi-year deal with Khan’s company. Moreover, with AEW All In around the corner, there is massive speculation that the newest member of the AEW roster could appear in the Casino Gauntlet match. Market reports have speculated that the star is going to London for the PPV. More on the story as it develops.

There is also fan speculation that since Ospreay built up the former WWE star, he could show up at the end of the AEW American Championship title match. Ospreay will face MJF for the title, and Ricochet could appear at the end if Ospreay wins. This will lead to the two finally having the feud fans have begged for.

Since the high flyer made his intention to leave WWE clear, fans have wondered about Samantha Irvin. The two are engaged and have enjoyed working for the same company. However, Irvin clarified that her contract with the Stamford-based company isn’t ending anytime soon. Moreover, she stated that she will be staying with the WWE. Among the reasons for Ricochet leaving was the lack of push. Despite being a babyface and a fan favorite, he was never in the big leagues for the main titles.
