Now, the constant trolls and taunts on social media seem to have invoked a reaction from the wrestling legend.

It hit him so harshly that The Nature Boy is even ready to wrap up his AEW stint early if it bothers Khan or harms the promotion in any way.

Fans showed strong resentment at Ric Flair’s recent obnoxious promo during Rampage taping, where he issued an open invitation to single women of the 18 to 28 age group to his hotel room.

Now, the WWE legend tried to cover it up, saying he’s just around the AEW ring to accompany his friend Sting and nothing else.

In a rather mushy post, Ric Flair wrote, ”I Am So Tired Of Hearing All This Negativity! I Don’t Need To Work, And I Don’t Need The Money. Can’t I Simply Enjoy Being By My Dear Friend @stinger’s Side For The Next Few Months Without So Much Hatred? I Know I’m Old, But That Doesn’t Mean I Can’t Enjoy Life! I Have Earned The Right To Do Whatever I Want & I’m Exactly Where I Want To Be! I Appreciate Everything @tonyrkhan, But I’m More Than Willing To Walk Away If I Am Embarrassing You And Your Company. All I Can Say Is I’m Sorry!”

Now, it will be interesting to see how the AEW head honcho responds to it.

However, Ric Flair has aimed to minimize his impact in pro wrestling by purposefully backing away from being a guiding spirit to youngsters these days.

The Nature Boy doesn’t hand out advice anymore in order to avoid being replaced

The two-time Hall of Famer has carved out an immense legacy in pro wrestling for nearly two decades. Although his life outside the ring instigated many controversies from time to time, it never lowered his spirit. Similarly, on the other hand, despite having several severe surgeries in his body, the veteran didn’t let it affect his enormous confidence. Capitalizing on these features, the 74-year-old restarted his in-ring career with AEW one year after having his last official match.

That said, Flair only resumed his antics and not his mentorship for the right reasons. Earlier he used to give pieces of advice to the newbies of the roster but now he restrains himself from doing so.
