AEW Double or Nothing PPV had some very exciting matches on Sunday. However, on 28th May they witnessed a major blunder for the Fan Fest at Las Vegas, Nevada ahead of the Double or Nothing that involves MJF and Samoa Joe.
As per the reports, Maxwell Jacob Friedman had booked flight tickets to fly back to New Jersey and did not attend the AEW Fan Fest. Moreover, another AEW star, the ROH Television Champion Samoa Joe, also didn’t attend the Fan Fest, but nobody knew the reason. However, he appeared at Double or Nothing for his match.

Although the fans have a clue about why MJF is leaving, it surprised many after Samoa Joe wasn’t there at the Fan Fest. A wrestling observer, Bryan Alvarez later revealed the reason on Twitter.
His tweet said, “It appears the situation with Samoa Joe and the Fan Fest was a communication issue, so totally different from whatever is happening with MJF, who did no-show.”

Apparently, Joe instead attended a voiceover session for a new project. There was a miscommunication between the AEW officials and him, so he did not attend the Fan Fest. There is no conflict between AEW officials and Joe for him to make a no-show.
Did MJF really leave Las Vegas ahead of AEW Double or Nothing?
Maxwell Jacob Friedman and Tony Khan are currently having a backstage dispute over MJF’s contractual issues. A few days ago, in an interview, ‘The Two Year Vet’ said about signing with the one who pays him more money. However, this statement didn’t sit well with the AEW owner.
