Did Ricochet get robbed at All In London, or was it a smart move by the bookers?

WWE superstars are often seen jumping ship to the rival promotion to find a better alternative after an abrupt walkout of the company. Tony Khan has earned a penchant for offering bigger money bags in a bid to convince the competition to sign for his promotion. Ricochet did no different after he became a free agent a few weeks back. The former WWE writer shaped up to be the prime surprise factor of the All In 2024 at Wembley, participating in a Casino Gauntlet match.

But quite surprisingly, he was not booked for a win and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T explains the philosophy behind it.

The reason behind Ricochet’s defeat in the AEW debut match is revealed

Tony Khan always seems to be keen to bring in brand new talents to his roster especially so if they have a WWE tag with them. But the immense excitement and promise with which the head honcho proceeded toward signing them didn’t remain the same after some time. Khan forgets to utilize their prowess fully for their sake and the company. It led him to garner tons of brickbats for mismanaging and stockpiling talents unnecessarily. But the executive head continues to pay deaf ears to all these hearsays.

Digging deep into his practice, WWE veteran Booker T noted Khan doesn’t want to shower the new star with all the prizes. The AEW head honcho wants to bed them in to explore and analyze their initial displays in the squared circle.

Explaining it in detail, during the latest episode of his podcast, Booker T went on, ”I mean, AEW has had a history of bringing in guys and those guys not win. I think Will Ospreay came in. He didn’t win his first match, right? I think you might be right about that. I think it might just be one of those things where you got to bring in a guy, break him in, see where his head is, see if he’s going to play ball. Yeah. But I’m glad to see Ricochet has a soft landing.”

However, the good part is that Prince Puma chose to keep his faith intact in AEW. The first signs are promising as Tony Khan cooked up a delicious treat for his fans and the former WWE star agreed with Khan’s choice too as evidenced by an interaction online.

Ricochet takes no nonsense about his AEW choice

Despite not picking up a win, Ricochet received a hero’s welcome in Wembley. The entire arena seemed to be psyched up seeing his high-flying moves throughout the match. But there is always another side of the story that didn’t receive Ricochet’s AEW arrival in a positive light. Some WWE fans went to an extreme length of tagging him directly on Twitter, saying his AEW ship will sink eventually and he will fall into irreverence too. The star took zero ridicule and fired back at the commenter’s low follower count.
