Why did the debut of John Morrison fell short with AEW?

Yes, former WWE Superstar John Morrison made his debut in the squared circle with AEW. During the latest AEW Dynamite episode, John Hennigan made his AEW debut as “Johnny Elite.”

Joe entered the ring and waited for “The Joker” challenger. The music popped, and the Titan Tron displayed Johnny Elite. However, just like Hennigan’s exit from WWE, he received an unfortunate welcome at the rival promotion, AEW.

The moment Titan Tron displayed Johnny Elite, wrestling fans imagined it was former WWE superstar Johnny Gargano. This was one of the massive fails that John Hennigan did not see it coming. When Morrison entered as Johnny Elite, Twitter exploded to express that it was Johnny Gargano.

Meanwhile, some fans backed up Morrison because people expected Gargano. However, Morrison is one of the best athletic pro wrestlers that we have witnessed.

This side of fans was enraged because they felt that John Morrison deserved better. People expecting Johnny Gargano instead of Morrison upset many people.

Johnny Elite vs. Samoa Joe on AEW Dynamite!

Despite John Morrison’s ill-starred debut on AEW, he battled against ROH World Television Champion Samoa Joe. These two wrestled each other for the very first time in their professional wrestling career.

Morrison, aka Johnny Elite, showcased a stellar performance against Samoa Joe. Johnny Elite brought his classic aerobatic maneuvers to the AEW debut with a 450 Splash. However, Johnny Elite’s incredible high-flying moves were insufficient to put down Samoa Joe.
