There is no doubt CM Punk is always the center of attention in almost every AEW controversy. AEW CEO and President Tony Khan recently fired him from the company for his inappropriate professional behavior at All In in London.

While many supported Khan’s decision and claimed that he made the right choice of separating the rotten apple before it could spoil the whole barrel, WWE legend Road Dogg believes it was not a wise move. He stated this move may invite more trouble for the promotion.

Road Dogg believes Tony Khan needs to change AEW’s locker room vibes

Speaking in his recent episode of Oh You Didn’t Know? Podcast, WWE’s Senior Vice President of Live Events, expressed his concerns over Khan’s decision to make Punk pay for his inappropriate behavior at All In. He stated that firing Punk would not help Khan contain the issues lingering in his promotion.

He said, “People don’t fight nowadays. So people go on the internet and say whatever they want. Never get punched in the face for it. And that’s problematic to have a society that functions like that.” He added Khan needs to bring some positive change in his locker room and backstage area and help his employees bond with each other.

Dogg feels that even the AEW locker room vibe is still toxic even with Punk gone from the promotion.

Road Dogg discusses the importance of camaraderie in wrestling

According to Dogg, the best thing about pro wrestling is not money or wrestling itself, it’s camaraderie. Superstars having a healthy backstage relationship with each other play a big role in a promotion’s success. This is important because no matter if two wrestlers indulge in a nasty fight, they will always resort back to making peace with each other later.

Dogg believes lack of camaraderie is causing problems in Khan’s promotion and if doesn’t figure out a solution soon, then it will bring more troubles for him and AEW. Talking about his old days, he elucidated how in the yesteryears a problem between wrestlers would automatically resolve because they would have mutual understanding.
