The competition between WWE and AEW is at an all-time high right now, reminding fans of the ‘Monday Night Wars’ with WCW. AEW gained an upper hand in the battle with its PPV ‘All In’ breaking the attendance record in the UK with a crowd of 81,035.

In addition to these fan wars, there are also talks of some stars moving to the rival promotion. While these are just rumors, Tony Khan is hopeful that an ex-WWE champion could make an appearance at AEW’s next PPV.

There is already news that ‘The Rated R Superstar’ Edge might move to AEW after the WWE rejected his request in the contract. While that is yet to unfold, another Ex-WWE Women’s champion is preparing to make her debut in AEW.

We are talking about Ex-WWE Women’s champion Sasha Banks. She was with the WWE from 2012 to 2022 and during her glorious career; Banks won many championships.

She even went on to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, a record 3 times in her career. After leaving the WWE, she joined NJPW and has been with them ever since. She continued her title binge there as well by winning the IWE Women’s Championship.

But Tony Khan recently confirmed on his media call for ‘All Out’ that Sasha Banks might wrestle in AEW soon. He also called her, “One of the Best Wrestlers on the Planet”. Banks is still recovering from a major injury. Khan is hopeful that medical personnel clear her on time to wrestle at AEW’s next PPV ‘WrestleDream’ slated for 1st October.

But as Sasha Banks makes more appearances in WWE’s rival AEW, let’s check out why she left the former in the first place.

Sasha Banks left the WWE due to creative differences

Banks started with the WWE in 2012 by joining NXT. There she had a successful stint becoming the NXT Women’s champion. Then in 2015, she moved to the main roster and in her 7 years with the brand, she became both the RAW and SmackDown Women’s champion.

Then, towards the end of her WWE career, she joined forces with Naomi to win the tag team championship at WrestleMania 38. But just a month later, she and Naomi stormed into the WWE Head of Talent Relations office. They both placed their titles on the table and walked out due to creative differences with Vince McMahon.

It was later announced that Banks and Naomi had been suspended indefinitely and the tag team titles were vacated. Further negotiations between Banks and the WWE completely failed and she later left the WWE in December 2022. Even after leaving WWE on a bad note, she thanked both Triple H and Vince McMahon on Twitter before her first NJPW PPV match. But are you guys excited that Sasha Banks will be on AEW soon?
