Maxwell Jacob Friedman has to be one of the most famous stars in the AEW roster currently. His over-the-top gimmick and heel antics have turned him into a heat magnet. And if Friedman’s latest comments are to be believed, he might be close to achieving a feat that Dwayne Johnson hasn’t been able to manage yet.
The 27-year-old is famously never out of character, not even in public appearances. And his latest claims might surprise many fans.

The AEW champion recently appeared in the Art of Wrestling at the Squared Circle Expo. Therein he boasted about his growing wealth, which supposedly even surpassed Johnson’s $820 million fortune. He said, “I would, honestly I’m getting close to a B {Billions} right now I’m in the Ms {Millions} but I’m getting closer to it”.
On being asked whether Tony Khan gave him a private jet, The Salt of Earth said, “Well, I mean based off the money that he’s {Tony Khan} given me I was able to afford my private jet but he didn’t gift me the private jet.”
Well, it certainly is a kayfabe claim from Friedman owing to his cocky on-screen persona. He is relatively new, and it takes years of hard work and determination to amass the humongous wealth that The People’s Champ has. This includes getting a hefty paycheck of $22 million for the 2021 movie Jungle Cruise.

Nevertheless, the AEW star has a bright future, as he possesses all the qualities of succeeding on the big stage. It’s his stupendous potential that has seen him being linked to the wrestling juggernaut of WWE.
Will MJF come to WWE in the future?
Friedman’s current deal with the Jacksonville-based promotion is reportedly ending in January next year. And if an arrangement is not worked upon between the two parties, the eccentric performer could emerge as the hottest free agent in the business.
And it won’t be a surprise if the Stamford-based promotion were to secure his service. A report in Fightful Select claimed last month that MJF had told a WWE talent that he would soon be there.
Former AEW colleague Cody Rhodes also highlighted what he needs to do in order to come to the global wrestling phenomenon.

MJF is undoubtedly exaggerating his assets. But old-school wrestling enthusiasts would be loving this boasting. These kinds of gimmicks were a norm back in the day, but are a rarity nowadays. And Friedman deserves huge credit for trying to keep Kayfabe alive in this day and age.
