WWE hires and releases several superstars every year. However, last night, they released a batch of ‘top’ superstars. One of these Superstars is Lana, who even competed on Monday Night Raw just a day earlier in a tag team match. No one was happy with her release, including her husband Miro.

The ‘Ravishing Russian’ took to Twitter to comment on her release from WWE. She did not say anything to WWE but thanked the fans for the love and support they showed her in every phase of her WWE career.

Miro and Lana’s poles apart reaction to WWE release

While Lana chose to thank fans, her husband and TNT Champion Miro, decided to fire some subtle shots at WWE. The ‘Best Man’ had some wordplay up his sleeves with a tweet after Lana’s release.

As is obvious, Miro is labeling WWE as turkeys and, possibly, AEW as eagles. He means it’s good that Lana will no longer hang out with turkeys and soar high like an eagle in AEW.

Now, after this tweet, we wouldn’t be shocked if CJ Perry debuts in AEW once the no-compete clause is up.

Miro wasn’t the only one who reacted to Lana’s shocking WWE release. Lana’s tag team partner, Naomi, too, put out a tweet and said she will always be the ‘Ravishing Russian’s’ friend bestfriend and sister! Raw Superstar Damian Priest also wrote Lana is a tremendous human being.

The kayfabe Russian Superstar made her WWE debut alongside Rusev in late 2013 on NXT. The duo would soon get called up to the main roster where they rose to prominence. Lana initially only worked as Rusev’s manager, until she ventured into in-ring action.

Lana made her in-ring debut at WrestleMania 32 in a multi-woman tag team match. This makes her one of the few WWE Superstars who’ve achieved this feat.

Either way, there was a lot WWE could’ve done with Lana. But as they say, one person’s loss is another person’s gain.
