Is the former Sasha Banks standing close to coming back to her roots? Would she follow the same path as Andrade El Idolo by late-realising the true value of WWE? Mercedes Mone walked out of the WWE ring following a creative disagreement with Vince McMahon back in 2022. Then she had a remarkable run in her dream promotion NJPW. However, what came next sent resounding shockwaves to the fanfare. After days of over-hyping and teasing, The CEO brought her magic into Tony Khan’s promotion from the exaggerated stage of Big Business.

However, unfortunately, her debut didn’t tout much success for Khan and garnered a bunch of brickbats. The same has raised questions over her stay in the AEW. While the answer is yet to come as total assertive, WWE legend Bully Ray laid the basis.

Adding to the humiliation of a lackluster start, Mone’s comments about WWE’s return right ahead of her AEW debut sparked collective wrath in the AEW’s locker room. Bully Ray addressed the amateur call from the former WWE star during the latest episode of Busted Open Radio. Explaining the intensity and consequences of those comments, the veteran noted, ”Mercedes put her toe in the water when she said her time was up she would most likely be back and be back in WWE. She referenced going back to WWE. Andre, I see you shaking your head, did she never say that?”

“Nobody has said it, I put my toe in the water if I was Mercedes that’ll get you massive massive heat if Mercedes ever turned around and alluded to I am going to come here and I am going to take all of Tony’s money, I am going to take all your championships, I am going to take it all from you, and when all is said and done and my contract is up, Adios bye bye thanks,” Ray noted.

Continuous reference to the aspects and comments made a WWE return even more evident, to say the least. However, it seems Mone is currently prepping herself for something new apart from wrestling as well.

The 32-year-old has been focusing on her wrestling endeavors in the last few months. Without losing her sleep over the controversies and setbacks, The Boss instead made a boss move that suited her the best. It’s not foreign in the wrestling universe to see superstars manage multiple projects at a time while not compromising their in-ring commitment, either.

The former NPJW star made up her mind about something similar and let the world know the same without giving it all. The former WWE Women’s tag team champion tractably noted, ”Making big #CEOMoves real soon I’ve been working on a new project and I can’t wait to share it with all my #MonéMakers! Any guesses?”
