NXT Battleground is nearing its 2024 edition that will take place on the 9th of June. The former NXT superstar’s presence would naturally make sense. After dropping plenty of hints recently, Mone, whose ring name in the WWE was Sasha Banks, has dropped yet another sign by posting a video with a specific song.

In her latest Instagram post, Mone can be seen posing for different pictures during a photo shoot for her AEW gimmick. However, the background song she posted on the reel was ‘U My Everything‘. That’s a song by Sexyy Red ft. Drake.

Sexyy Red is nowadays found in NXT. It is safe to say that she could also be slated to appear as one of the surprise appearances during the PLE on 9th June. If that’s the case, we may also see Mercedes Mone’s return to her former workplace with her old ring name, Sasha Banks. Some podcasters also believe this is the route the female star’s wrestling career could take, considering the negative reviews her AEW run is getting.

Will Mercedes Mone return to WWE eventually?

After her AEW run started, Mone revealed that the moving factor for her signing with Tony Khan was the money offered to her. However, the money did not win over the fans as they continued criticizing her role in the promotion and the delivery of the promos.
