Current AEW Superstar, CM Punk, defeated his long-time rival MJF in a brutal match last night at the AEW Revolution PPV. After the PPV, CM Punk and Tony Khan sat down for the media. However, it was during the media scrum where Punk took a cheeky shot on WWE Chairman Vince McMahon.

Now, everyone in the business knows that Punk still has ill feelings for WWE and its chairman, Vince McMahon. During the media scrum, Punk confessed that he is happy that AEW President, Tony Khan, has bought ROH. Punk also noted that he has no problem in Khan owning Punk’s ROH matches videos. However, he also added in the end that Vince McMahon owns quite a lot of Punk’s videos for which he is not getting paid.

Since this statement, the fans on the internet have polarized opinions on Punk’s dig at McMahon. Some fans advocate that Punk should move on and stop throwing dirt on WWE, while some fans think that Punk should absolutely bury WWE.

CM Punk divided the internet with his comments

One fan took to Twitter and hilariously wrote that when he will be 95 years old, then maybe Punk would stop throwing dirt on WWE.

One fan noted that it was WWE who made the ‘Best in the World’ a global superstar. The fan also wrote that the former WWE Champion got a chance to fight in UFC because of his popularity with WWE.

One fan took a dig on the former WWE superstar by writing that Vince McMahon has not used any video of his. Furthermore, the fan added that WWE erased Punk as they did with Chris Benoit.

Some fans really like it when Punk disses Vince McMahon and WWE.

One fan wrote that everyone knows that he hates WWE. Now that he is in AEW, he should focus on his career in AEW.

Punk had a great run in WWE back in the early 2010s. However, it was the backstage heat with WWE officials, especially with Vince McMahon and Triple H, that drove him out of the company.
