AEW All-In 2024 from Wembley Stadium in London was truly a spectacle to watch! The most important day of the year for All Elite Wrestling featured new champions, Will Ospreay, Mariah May, and Hook. But the one who truly stole the show was Bryan Danielson. The main event had everyone on their feet. The American Dragon was joined by his family and friends during his World Championship win celebration. Just like back when Cody Rhodes finished his story at the Showcase of the Immortals.
And just like at the end of WrestleMania 40, fans were left in awe of the amazing night they got to witness. But was it exactly like WrestleMania? Well, it looks like there is still a major difference between the two promotions. One that attracts a particular set of audience members toward the Jacksonville-based promotion. But what is that major difference?
It’s blood. In the latest edition of the Busted Open Podcast, Dave LaGreca gave his reaction to all that took place at AEW All in London. During this edition of the show, LaGreca felt compelled to highlight the significant differences between the two promotions and their grand spectacles. While WrestleMania and All In had similarities, such as an underdog winning the grand prize against all odds, AEW matches had a lot more bloodshed compared to the ones in the WWE.

He said, “You also got some blood, and that really distinguishes AEW from the WWE as well. I know it may be a small thing to some, but you know what? It’s that grit. It’s the blood. You got a bit of a blood bath a couple of times this afternoon at AEW All-In.” While some main event matches in WWE, do have some blood in them, like the one featuring Cody Rhodes, that ain’t the same for the midcard. However, in AEW, almost all matches get to shed blood, irrespective of the position in the company.

While AEW may have more blood, WWE fans would argue that they surely have a less hostile work environment. Something that has been plaguing the Tony Khan-led promotion. Earlier, CM Punk was fired after his off-screen brawl with Jack Perry. Then Britt Baker DMD, too, got suspended due to a backstage altercation. However, Khan believes that the work environment is surely improving now.

During the press conference following AEW All In London 2024, Tony Khan, president of All Elite Wrestling, offered a detailed look at how the creative process is handled within the company and how the work environment has improved over the past year. Khan reflected on how the backstage environment at AEW has improved. He explained that, compared to the previous year, when the company was in the midst of launching Collision, the situation is now much more manageable.
“It’s a much easier environment backstage at Collision than it was a year ago,” he said. The AEW President stressed that the dressing room was in a much better place now. In comparison to what was experienced at Wembley last year. Back when tensions were more evident. Although Khan did not directly mention CM Punk, many interpreted his words as a reference to the issues that arose during the build-up to the event in 2023. Especially in relation to the altercation between Punk and Jack Perry at All In 2023. What do you think? Has AEW shown major improvements? Let us know in the comments.
