Mercedes Mone has again been in the spotlight with people largely anticipating a WWE return for The Boss amidst a lackluster AEW start. Previous reports stated that the former WWE star dropped a green flag on joining the Stamford-based company right after her AEW debut. Although it has provoked some animosity in the AEW locker room, WWE fans found a ray of hope in getting the CEO back where she belongs.

Now, a new self-help video of the 32-year-old triggered that persisting hope even more now since her looks resemble more of her old WWE gimmick. Fans keep chewing over the relevance of Sasha Banks due to the absence of the essence of Banks in her AEW character.

The CEO had an infamous walkout from the Stamford-based company alongside her former tag team partner Naomi back in 2022. Following a massive Vince McMahon’s creative disruption, Mone decided to cut a ten-year-old bond with McMahon’s promotion and never looked back. After a short period of self-reflective phase, Mone resumed her career from her dream promotion to NPJW. Despite achieving quick success there, she had to be on the shelf for nearly 10 months following an ankle injury before officially immersing herself into AEW affairs during an exaggerated AEW Big Business night emanating from her hometown, Boston.

Ever since, there has been an unbridled buzz on the former WWE star, not bringing the desired attention and growth to Khan’s business as depicted via low viewership ratings. Although she’s yet to wrestle in a complete match in AEW, her segments have earned criticism and been termed creatively poor. By the time, Mone appeared in a WWE cameo during the Backlash in France, fanning up the existing WWE return rumor even more.

The flow of speculation even continues with people commenting vehemently about a Sasha Banks run in a completely off-bit video on her Instagram.

Fans got a taste of Sasha Banks in Mercedes Mone’s latest IG promo and they are ecstatic

Just like any other regular wrestler, Marcedes Mone had to undergo many upheavals in her storied pro wrestling career. The recent timeline of her career has been especially tumultuous. But the CEO never seemed off the place, leaving people astonished by her exceptional tenacity of mind. Now, as Mone chose to talk about the secret of her resilient mental health in an Instagram promo, fans might have decoded from where she gets this. It’s her unfathomable belief in her own identity and capabilities that take the front seat on every testing ride. But apart from appreciating her much-needed self-worth lesson, fans focus on her outlook that highly reminds them of Sasha Banks with comments like, “She looks just like Sasha Banks 🤔’, and ‘Da HAIR IS GIVING 😍”.
