Tonight, on the latest edition of AEW Dynamite, RUSH defeated Deonn Rusman in what was a one-sided fight. But what happened next is what made the real news. After the fight, Rush took the microphone and stepped on his opponent. He called all Americans weak and continued the attack.

However, MJF got into the ring and entered a brawl with RUSH. Security personnel, referees, and Christopher Daniels tried stopping the two superstars but simply couldn’t. The Devil instead took his opponent to the audience area as the two continued trading blows.

The action followed backstage as MJF threw RUSH on a table, and he responded by throwing a trash can. Several fighters had to join in to finally stop them. The adrenaline-packed segment surely made fans stand on their toes to see the action. But it seems like this segment might’ve cost AEW more than what they earned.

In the latest edition of the Busted Open Podcast, Bully Ray shared his thoughts on the latest edition of AEW Dynamite. During his analysis of the episode, he shared how he believes that MJF might’ve picked up an injury during his segment with RUSH. After the segment, he was seen icing his injury, and he also wasn’t using his injured hand in a later appearance. Ray also gave his expert opinion as he witnessed a moment in which his hand went “limp”.

Bully Ray said, “At one point during the brawl, it looked like Max hurt his hand. And I guess I was right because later on in the night they showed Max backstage, I believe during the main event, with ice on his hand. Whether he was just working or not, I don’t know. But I think he really hurt his hand because I saw it go limp in the segment during one of the pull-aparts.” This can prove problematic for the Tony Khan-led promotion, as the show suffered back when Maxwell Jacob Friedmann had to take a leave of absence.

And now that the show has picked up pace again since his return, another injury could spell further doom for All Elite Wrestling. With the Forbidden Door PLE coming up, Tony Khan surely cannot afford MJF leaving, as he is a major attraction. And AEW has already outlined major creative plans for him.

Also, he has been booked for a fight next week against RUSH, as they will open the next edition of AEW Dynamite. As for Forbidden Door 3, it will take place on June 30 at the UBS Arena in Belmont Park, New York. So while MJF’s fight could get canceled, Forbidden Door is still far enough for the Devil to recover. What do you think? Will MJF take another break? Let us know in the comments.
