Kenny Omega is the AEW World Champion and also serves as one of the EVP’s for the promotion. Omega and the entire executive team of AEW have worked hard to make unreal partnerships come to life, such as the one with NJPW.

Today, Tony Khan’s promotion has a working relationship with three major wrestling promotions. Namely, New Japan Pro Wrestling, Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, and Impact Wrestling. Amid all the partnerships and crossovers, there is one promotion everyone is sure won’t shake hands with AEW, and that is WWE.

But what if we told you that too could happen? Sounds unreal, but the ‘AEW EVP’ in Kenny Omega is optimistic about it.

Kenny Omega believes WWE and AEW could definitely work together in the future

During a recent appearance on the Wrestling Observer Radio, the ‘Belt Collector’ spoke on a variety of topics, including a potential AEW-WWE working relationship. Kenny immediately said, “I wouldn’t hold my breath, but at the same time, I would never say it’s impossible.”

The ‘Cleaner‘ elaborated that everyone and everything changes with time. So it’s pretty much possible that WWE changes its stance in the future. Eventually, leading us to see both rival promotions working together.

He said, “The one huge crossover, will you ever see WWE team up with anybody? Who knows? I feel as the world evolves and changes and time goes by, people become more open-minded to everything; Whether it be the wrestlers themselves, people in the office, the fans.”

Kenny Omega has always been very vocal about a potential WWE-AEW partnership. Back in November, Omega revealed he’s open to trade talent with WWE if they came knocking on the door. He even said that both companies working together would be a ‘win-win.’

A few months later in February, Kenny spoke on the topic again and said that he does see the partnership between the two rivals being a reality. Although so far, neither WWE nor AEW have made strides to settle the scores as rivals and become one unit to make pro wrestling great again.

As of now, we’re only seeing Tony Khan or other AEW talent take shots at WWE as and when they get a chance. One can only hope that Kenny’s belief comes true soon, and this promotional rivalry is put to bed for good.
