However, amidst the wrestling banter, Hardy took a moment to address a pressing issue involving his brother, Jeff Hardy, shedding light on legal troubles and a subsequent decision by AEW to navigate the situation strategically.

During one segment, Matt Hardy addressed a recent issue he faced. He explained that his brother, Jeff Hardy, is currently banned in Canada due to legal problems. Matt mentioned, “No Matt at Dynamite tonight, and the reason being, it is in Canada, and my brother still has issues getting into Canada right now.” Since Jeff wasn’t going to be present, Matt decided not to attend the event.

Matt clarified in the podcast that he won’t be available for shows in Canada as long as his brother faces restrictions, emphasizing their on-screen partnership. Jeff’s legal issues in Canada stem from the DUI incident early this year.

Reportedly, according to Fightful Select, the post-match segment was intended to write off the Hardy Boys temporarily. AEW’s Canada tour was scheduled from June 21st to July 19th, and the decision to have the Hardys attacked was a precautionary measure to explain their absence during this period.
