Jacob Fatu debuted on SmackDown on 06/21 in Chicago. The wrestling world appreciated the way he entered the scene. Despite several reports, not a lot of people expected him to show up during the blue brand show. Thanks to the delay since his reported contract signing, the wrestling faithful anticipated an auspicious debut at a PLE.
Not only was the surprise appreciated, but the aura that he carried with him during the debut also stunned the crowd. Now, a former WWE employee talked about the same during his podcast and how it is better than Tony Khan‘s recently debuted stars.

The wrestling fanbase is no stranger to the fact that Tony Khan has a net worth of over $1 billion. The AEW head honcho uses part of this money to lure in wrestlers who could potentially join a rival promotion. While Jim Cornette doesn’t ethically hold Khan responsible for the same, he believes that he should use that money to hire talents who are worthy of such valuable contracts. On the 538th episode of The Jim Cornette Experience, the host said, “He’s a billionaire. When you don’t have restrictions on how much money you could spend, why are you using substandard indie outlaw talent that’s not ready for a major television production?” To make himself clear, Cornette added, “[The] point is, in two minutes, they made Jacob Fatu, who didn’t cost millions of dollars, have a bigger impact and get over to a wider audience than they did in AEW with Okada and with Will and with Mercedes.”

Mercedes Mone has previously revealed how her signing with Tony Khan was majorly about the money that he offered. This clears out the point that the former WWE employee is making. According to him, Khan should have saved his money for the talents who were ready to be on television. On the other hand, despite not charging the same amount of money, Fatu has shaken the WWE fanbase.
Jacob Fatu’s involvement has brought a new twist
During SmackDown 06/28, Jacob Fatu was featured in the final segment to get anointed into the family stable. His debut was enough to establish his image as a ruthless beast who can’t be stopped easily. His legend grew further and he was let loose to wreak havoc in MSG during the ceremony. The Werewolf first attacked Paul Heyman when he refused to accept Solo Sikoa as the new Tribal Chief.

Along with the Tongans, Fatu went on to obliterate The Wiseman until they decided enough was enough. This established the Anoa’i wrestler’s character as a dangerous man which made fans wish there was another beast to take him down. As Cornett also said in his podcast, he thinks that Tony Khan should instead use his money to hire talents like Jacob Fatu, who can have a profound impact on the audience and keep them on the edges of their seats.
