At AEW’s Double or Nothing, Swerve Strickland defended his AEW World Championship against Christian Cage. After winning the match, he celebrated with the crowd by the ringside. While fans were cheering at home, they noticed a familiar face beside the reigning champion, boxing star Floyd Mayweather.

After seeing Shaq appear in AEW and participate in a match against Cody Rhodes, fans wondered if Mayweather was planning on joining Tony Khan‘s company. WWE fans know that the boxing star loves wrestling. Prior to AEW, Floyd Mayweather appeared in the WWE against The Big Show at WrestleMania XXIV.

It is also a known fact that the legendary boxer owns an adult club named ‘The Girl Collection’ in Las Vegas. He could’ve just been in the neighborhood and decided to catch some wrestling action. Along with ‘Money,’ Q from the show Impractical Jokers was also by ringside.

There is currently no confirmation whether Mayweather is planning to join the Florida-based promotion. While this could be a one-off appearance from the boxing champion, Tony Khan might get the boxer to make an in-ring appearance someday. Khan is aware of the potential big names can have in sports and has enough connections to make it happen. This was something he proved when he got Shaq to have a match in AEW, which the WWE could not do for years.
