Another adorable real-life pair belonging to AEW and WWE, respectively, are Darby Allin and Gigi Dolin.

Allin and Dolin both had shining careers in two of the most competitive promotions in the wrestling world. But even before they came under the glamorous shed of WWE and AEW, they made a decent name in the outside world. Dollin, 27, brought her magic to the Stamford-based company in 2018. Before that, she left her legacy in the indie as the first-ever Shine Nova Champion.

On the other hand, Darby Allin made his fiery entry into the pro-wrestling realm back in 2014 and got himself aligned with some popular names like EVOLVE Wrestling, Full Impact Pro, Pro Wrestling Guerilla, and GCW. The duo were having a surge in their professional spheres, knowing nothing about the shake awaited their personal lives, too.

By luck, the two wrestlers met and fell in love. After a brief courtship, they decided to tie the knot on November 21, 2018.

However, the surreal happy married life was abruptly short-lived. Within just two years, the couple failed to sort out their issues and continue taking their union forward further. On August 10, 2020, the Gypsy Princess tweeted that she and Darby Allin were getting divorced without giving any closure to the fans.

But later in a candid interview, the two-time NXT tag team champion cleared the air about the unfortunate fate of her marriage.

Dolin blames the rush to get married as the sole cause of their relationship, not working out for long. But she ensured there was only love and light in their lives without getting into any dirt. Addressing some typical fans who threw shades at any of their individual characters after the divorce, the 26-year-old noted that it’s not necessary to blame one of the couple every time they decided to go apart.

It was not that she or Allin dumped each other in any way, rather they chose the mutual separation for both of their best interests as they were too immature to carry the heavy tag of marriage. The WWE wrestler noted they are still great friends. However, Gigi Dolin gave her love life a second chance exchanging vows with AEW star Nash Carter last year.
