Kenny Omega won the AEW World Championship in quite a controversial fashion against Jon Moxley. The ‘Best Bout Machine’ had put up a Gentlemen’s Agreement, but he himself didn’t keep up to it. That’s not all, but he also appeared on Impact Wrestling the following week to address the world!

Omega appeared on Impact in a vanity last week. He addressed the world and said how he wanted to be a ‘Belt Collector,’ hinting at a possible match with Rich Swann. He also explained why he used the microphone to win the match.
The AEW World Champion appeared on Dynamite the next night in Lex Luger fashion, but almost repeated the same promo from the other night at Impact.
Impact Wrestling saw a significant rise in viewership with Kenny’s announced appearance. It was among the Top 100 cable shows of the night and drew their best viewership in 5 years!
Earlier today, Impact Wrestling took to Twitter to announce another appearance from the AEW World Champion, Kenny Omega.

Last week’s numbers were really great for Impact, thanks to Kenny. Bringing him back for another week raises questions about why and what’s next.
As far as we know, Kenny wasn’t at the recent set of tapings for Impact that probably ends at Final Resolution, but you never know if they’ve pulled something off and we actually get to see Omega inside an Impact Wrestling ring.

No matter how it comes, getting this exposure and boost in viewership is Impact Wrestling’s top priority. It’s certain that the once #2 wrestling promotion wants to get back to its glory days, and a partnership with AEW will do just that.

Don Callis and Kenny Omega are EVPs for Impact Wrestling and AEW, respectively. Plus, they are extremely close friends in real life. We expect Kenny to appear now and till he is AEW World Champion.
