The pro wrestling enthusiasts were spoiled for choice on October 10, as both AEW and the WWE aired their programs. While WWE held their NXT televised show as usual, AEW decided to host the week’s Dynamite episode on the day, leading to a clash between the two rivals. While it was good for the neutral fans, several feathers were also ruffled.

Taking things into his hands, AEW owner Tony Khan took shots at Vince McMahon and Triple H on social media. While Khan also received backlash for his act, he has lifted the lid on his recent actions.

The 41-year-old took to X a few days ago to reveal alleged backstage politics by the WWE. Khan accused the Stamford-based promotion of indulging in poaching AEW talents.

He said the alleged incident took place a year ago when he was already tending to his sick mother- Ann Carlson Khan. “During her ordeal many AEW talent came to me alleging WWE tampering, inducing them to break their contracts. I’ll never forget these phone calls at her side in the hospital; it’s when business became personal for me,” Tony Khan said. He added that the revelation comes now as it coincides with the completion of a year of his mother’s health scare.

The AEW President also didn’t mince any words as he openly said that he hates “these people” making a reference to the WWE. A few days ago, he also called out Vince McMahon, digging at the 78-year-old Wrestling impresario’s past.

Tony Khan also took a subtle jab at Triple H by posting a picture with the words: “Bald A**hole”. The post was made in reply to another post that contained an article about Triple H and Shawn Michaels.

Meanwhile, Khan’s social media activities haven’t been well received by a pro wrestling legend, who tore into the wrestling promoter.

Eric Bischoff unhappy with Tony Khan’s familial post

Eric Bischoff needs no introduction to pro wrestling fans. But for those who don’t know the 68-year-old, he was the Executive Producer of WCW and later served as the on-screen General Manager of RAW. Apart from that, Bischoff also had stints in other wrestling promotions. Currently, he hosts a podcast- 83 weeks- where he talks about the wrestling business.

During the recent episode of the aforementioned podcast, Bischoff appeared critical of Khan. He deemed that the AEW kingpin went a bit too far with the posts on X. “This is not the time to pull your pants down and show the world your a**. This is not the time to overreact,” Bischoff said. He added that Khan did wrong by getting emotional and establishing a connection between his mother’s health with WWE issues.

This, however, isn’t the first time Bischoff has come down hard on Tony Khan. A few months ago, he went on a rant after the AEW rehired CM Punk. Will Tony Khan take notes from the senior pro? Only time will tell.
