The AEW 2023 Revolution had a bit of everything. Titles changing hands, a surprise return for a tag team, and an instant classic of a main event. But what garnered all the limelight was the Texas Deathmatch between Jon Moxley and ‘Hangman’ Adam Page.
The encounter was filled with the use of various objects rarely seen around a wrestling ring. A fork and bricks were a few of the dangerous articles involved in the contest. Both men ended up bloodied after the back-and-forth battle. After the match, Renee Paquette, who is the real-life partner of Moxley, was mocked on social media by fans for her husband’s violent match that had him bleeding shortly into the contest.

Paquette posted the ‘SOS’ sign on her Twitter after her husband’s violence-filled match with Adam Page. As is common knowledge, it is an international code for help in times of distress. But fans who witnessed the brutality unfolding in the event did anything but help her on the web. Instead, she was mocked heavily on social media.
Here are some of the top comments from the fans.

Clearly, users on the internet were in no mood to spare her blushes. The Canadian would have been hoping for sympathy in light of Moxley’s match, but the fans had other ideas. Paquette, like her husband, was previously employed by the WWE. She also serves in the capacity of a backstage interviewer in AEW and made her debut in the promotion last year.
Pacquette has previously also discussed Moxley’s propensity for violence
The former WWE programming personality has previously also discussed the violence in Moxley’s matches. She made these comments during an appearance on the AEW UNRESTRICTED podcast last year.
Paquette said, “You know what, I don’t mean this to sound like Cavalier, but I just I feel like I’m so used to seeing what he does. And I know what a professional he is at what. He doesn’t listen. We all know injuries can happen. It can happen to anybody at any moment we’ve seen that. So there’s always that in the back of my mind.”
Page prevailed in the carnage-filled match, but not before both the men put each other through multiple insane spots. One of them included Moxley stabbing his opponent with a fork in the face. Moxley also took a devastating pile driver from Page on a barbed wire-covered chair. Surely these moments would have raised Paquette’s heart rate.

She has shown tremendous courage in keeping a straight face through all of Jon Moxley’s violent moments. It would surely not be easy to endure the regular risks the former AEW champion takes and Renee Paquette deserves all the credit for putting up a brave front.
