AEW had something special planned for the fans for their 200th Dynamite episode. They brought an ex-WWE star, who is also John Cena‘s old on-screen rival, to the Wednesday Night show, which left the fans in awe. The star in question here is none other than WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam.
On this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, ‘The Whole F’n Show’ made his AEW debut and walked out to his classic ECW theme song. Alongside his former ECW rival and now-good friend, Jerry Lynn, he almost beheaded the reigning FTW Champion, Jack Perry.

To defend ECW’s honor, Lynn called RVD to deal with Perry, who is currently holding FTW Championship. During the Wednesday show, Lynn mentioned that the doctors have not medically cleared him yet to fight, therefore he brought his good friend to assist him.
RVD made an entrance to his classic entrance theme song “Walk” by Pantera, which was heavily popular when he was in ECW. He confronted the ‘Jungle Boy’, but the latter chose to retreat. Perry, then, tried to sneak attack RVD and hit him with a steel chair.

However, the WWE legend dodged the attack and almost beheaded him in the middle of the ring with a spinning heel kick maneuver. It thrilled the fans to see ‘The Whole F’n Show’ making his debut at AEW.
RVD’s presence in AEW leaves fans ecstatic
In 1998, Taz established the FTW Championship in ECW, and his son, Hook, reintroduced it in AEW in 2020. Ever since Perry triumphed over Hook on July 19 at Blood & Guts for the FTW title, he has been belittling the title as well as the company (ECW) it came from.
