CM Punk getting fired from AEW created a lot of controversy in the pro wrestling community. Well, if it is anything remotely related to ‘The Second City Saint’, then the controversy part is always complimentary. Many superstars have shed light on the topic through their own opinions. Recently, a current world champion also shared his opinion during an interview.
ROH World Champion Eddie Kingston had a few comments to relay on Punk’s controversial firing from AEW. He had a rather harsh stance on the topic. Here is what he said.
Eddie Kingston says he doesn’t care about CM Punk

Kingston recently sat down with radio host Adrian Hernandez for an interview. During their conversation, Hernandez asked him to say a few words about AEW releasing Punk after his backstage fight with Jack Perry at All In.
He said, “I don’t give a fuck what he does. Me and him never got along anyway. We don’t have to be best friends to fight each other. It makes it better when we’re not best friends. I don’t wish him bad, but I don’t wish him good either, because I don’t give a fuck. That’s it.”

He was very straightforward while expressing his dislike for the former AEW superstar. Also, he told the fans that Punk feels the same towards him. He added he doesn’t care about anything related to The Best In The World. But he still had one good thing to say about Punk, despite his aversion towards him.

Although Kingston cannot stand Punk, he didn’t back away from giving him the due credit he deserved. There is no doubt that ‘The Straight-Edge Superstar’ is a big name in the pro wrestling industry. He has added tons of value to AEW programming. For this reason, Kingston said that he wished he were still in AEW.
