WWE shook the wrestling world to its very core when they released Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman from the company. No one saw it coming, and why would they?
There seems to be no reason other than a monetary one to let two huge fan favorites go. As the news broke, the WWE universe went into a frenzy, with many noting it as the worst mistake by WWE in recent years.
Both ex-WWE superstars have faced off one another in the ring and have also been a part of one of the most dominant factions in recent WWE history. Both superstars are also friends outside of the ring and have mutual respect for each other. Speaking on “Control Your Narrative“, Strowman revealed his wish to face his former teammate once again.

“I don’t know if it’s really one person. I think it’s anyone, anyone that has something inside them that they need to get out. Anybody that needs to be set free. These things have always been good [stares at his hands] at setting things free.”
“There’s only one man on this earth that I want to see knocking that door. He’s family. He showed me things in life that I never could have imagined seeing. He bestowed the gift upon me of being the godfather to his son. Windham, I’m waiting for you, brother.”
Both superstars share immense respect and love for each other. In an industry where every wrestler is looking out for him or herself, it is beautiful to see such camaraderie.

If both superstars were to sing with AEW, then it could be the final straw that pushes the WWE Universe over the edge with Vince McMahon. No fan wanted the releases to happen in the first place. And on top of that, if WWE’s main rival company were to sign them, then there is no telling how the WWE Universe might react.
AEW is already gaining more followers by the week following CM Punk’s arrival. Now with Adam Cole and Bryan Danielson in the mix, the company is just going to get even bigger.
