Vince McMahon returned to WWE, which shocked the wrestling world. But the news of WWE being sold and him coming back for the same surprised the WWE universe even more. However, as the rumors of the news of Mr. McMahon being already to sell WWE are in the buzz, AEW president Tony Khan praised a $11.9 billion net worth businessman who could buy the company.

Recently, Tony Khan was on a phone interview with CBS Sports Radio’s Maggie and Perloff. The AEW president shared his thoughts on buying WWE. He shared his father, Shahid Khan, with net worth $11.9 billion as per Forbes can show interest for the same.

Khan said, “I am interested in the news that there’s potentially a sale process. Certainly, I think we’ve shown that when there’re acquisitions, transactions, we are capable of making the big purchases, whether my dad stepped up with the Jaguars or Fulham FC in the Premier League.”

He added, “He’s done such a great job building up the club and putting resources into it. Now we’re playing football at a very high level at the Premier League. I think with AEW, we’ve shown we can build a company”

Further, Khan talked about his most recent purchase of the Ring of Honor promotion for $40 million. He recalled the 20 years’ history of ROH and said about enjoying relaunching it. 

To summarize, he wanted to shed a light on how they are at “all-time high in terms of business metrics” since ROH started again under AEW’s banner. He claimed his newest promotion is going to get better in every show they put on.

Tony Khan would love to be a part of the process if Vince McMahon sells WWE

In the same interview, Khan shared his current focus is on AEW’s two flagship shows, Dynamite and Rampage. However, he has a slight interest in buying WWE if there is a chance. He said, “But certainly that news there is out there is interesting”

Furthermore, the AEW president added, “You never know when I may address something. But on the other hand, I think it’s very preliminary to talk about that process. But there is a process there which sounds like there may be, then I’m interest to be a part of it.”

Khan is doing everything in his pocket to make Dynamite and Rampage a must-see show in professional wrestling. He has signed some of the major names in the business for AEW.
