On the recent episode of AEW Dynamite, fans got to see a former AEW Champion, ‘Hangman’ Adam Page get injured in between the match. The recent show took place in Cincinnati with a highly anticipated main event match between Jon Moxley and Adam Page for the AEW world title. Moxley won the match after Page got concussed after receiving a lariat from the AEW Champion.

‘Hangman’ Adam Page earned the title opportunity by winning the Rampage Royale just weeks ago. Moreover, this was his first shot at becoming a two-time champion since he lost to CM Punk at Double or Nothing.

The match ended when Jon Moxley hit Page with a lariat and Page landed awkwardly on his head and neck. The referee and ringside physician instantly came in to check on the wrestler. Post that, they determined he was unfit to compete, and hence, the match was called off.

After the referee stopped the match, they took Hangman backstage on a stretcher. The former AEW Champion rolled over once before landing after connecting a lariat. Clearly, it seems Mox hit the move hard or Page had a bad landing which resulted in the injury.

Wrestling fans shared their concerns about Adam Page. They reacted on Twitter where the fans shared their versions on how Page would have got himself injured in the world title match.

A few fans shared their concerns about the wrestler.

Some fans claim the lariat to be much stronger.

However, some fans said Adam Page took the bump in the wrong manner, which caused the injury.

More fans shared their concerns for Adam Page.

The match had to end with Moxley awarding the win. However, when Page will return fit, AEW will have a rematch for the title at a PPV or a special weekly show.

Adam Page’s injury worried Jon Moxley

After the referee and the physician called off the match, Moxley won the match and retained his AEW world title. However, while everyone was checking on Hangman, Mox stood aside, worried about Page’s injury.

A fan shared a picture on Twitter, which states, “Noooo! Jon Moxley praying for Adam Page. This is so sad! I hope he is okay #aew #aewdynamite”

Mox thought the lariat was too hard, and that was the reason Page got injured. However, there is no clear news yet on the condition of Hangman.
