WWE stars returning to the fold after several years of exploring waves outside of it have quite become a norm by now. From CM Punk to The Rock, the company needle movers have already flocked to make this WrestleMania season a banger. To add to this, will The Hardy Boyz be back to their old wrestling home as well? This is a question that has been swirling for some time now. The former WWE tag team champions AEW stature has declined their contracts are nearing an end. Matt Hardy and his wife attending a Raw episode made the return theory even stronger. We believe Matt Hardy’s WWE appearance was a far cry from a tease of a potential WrestleMania return, and here is why.

Matt Hardy revealed the ‘content’ motivation behind his surprise Raw visit

Matt Hardy attended the March 18 taping of WWE RAW, which emanated from Raleigh, North Carolina. Although the 49-year-old made it clear that it was just a fun date with his wife, Reby Hardy, in their neighborhood, wrestling fans refuse to take it at face value. To dismiss them entirely, Matt Hardy dove deeper into how their Raw arrival happened.

Narrating the real story, the AEW star went on, ”So what happened there is my wife has a spa that she’s part of and she gets a lot of her stuff there and she visits there a lot so she has a real close friend in Raleigh and she invited my wife and I just it’s like I would probably rather not go whatever, it would be chaotic especially if there’s people around.

“She said oh no it’s the skybox it’s the private suite whatever so it’s like okay. So we walked in about 9 and then it turned out it was like open on the from whatever and then there you know I was still sitting back so I said no he’s up there Matt Hardy. ”I wanted to look friendly, and I took pictures with everybody and did that and then we cut out we stayed there about 80 minutes and Hulk and my wife was salivating over it I think because it was great content for her right as she’s a content creator.” Hardy said explaining the real benefit of their visit.

However, that doesn’t mean a total no-no for a WrestleMania return to Philly this weekend according to the AEW star.

The AEW star didn’t rule out a potential WrestleMania return

Hardy clarified the recent Raw visit was more casual than the fans deemed it to be. However, when it comes to the highly rumored WrestleMania return notion, Hardy chose to keep us guessing.

Finn Balor and Damian Priest will defend their tag team titles in a six-way tag team Ladders Match at WrestleMania 40. According to some reports, Grayson Waller and Austin Theory could be pulled from the match. Fans have remarked that The Hardy Boyz could claim their spots.

While Hardy was asked about the possibility, he noted he feels great that people think that way and it makes him elated. Despite not giving a clear answer about the return, Hardy remarked that in pro wrestling, you can “never say never.”
