Recently NBA Superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo appeared on AEW Dynamite. The star of Milwaukee Bucks got tremendous applause and a replica of the AEW World Title from AEW President and CEO Tony Khan. Apart from that, he shared some backstage moments with AEW Superstars such as Chris Jericho, Sting, Matt Hardy, and more.

For those who don’t know, ‘The Greek Freak’ is a huge pro wrestling fan. Before AEW, he appeared in WWE as well. There they gifted him the WWE Universal title replica. After Wednesday, Antetokounmpo is the only person in the world to hold two World titles from these rival promotions.

Matt Hardy recently posted about his interaction with Antetokounmpo on Twitter. There, the tag team legend was standing with the NBA Superstar. From the looks of it, Antetokounmpo was over the moon!

Hardy wrote, “Met the NBA Champ, @Giannis_An34. He grew up on The Hardy Boyz. I love to hear it! Giannis is pumped for #AEWRampage tonight at 10 EST on TNT!” Check out the tweet below –

Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy revolutionized tag team wrestling in the Attitude Era

The Tag Team of Matt and Jeff Hardy came to be known as the Hardy Boyz in 1993. Back then, they were wrestling in Independent circuits. In 2000, they came to WWE and teamed up with Lita.

During this time, the brothers along with the Dudleys reinvented tag team wrestling. They popularized Table, Ladders, and Chairs matches. The brother duos had multiple runs in different eras. Their last run came in 2019.

They are 12-time world tag team champions between all major promotions in the US. The brothers have won the WWE/World Tag Team Championship (6), the Raw Tag Team titles (1), the SmackDown Tag Team titles (1), the WCW Tag Team titles (1), the TNA World Tag Team titles (1) and the ROH World Tag Team titles (1).

They are the only team in pro wrestling history to hold seven tag team championships from seven different companies at the same time. Considered as the greatest Tag Team of all time by many, the only Tag Team that is left on their list is the AEW Tag Team title.
