The wrestling world has been buzzing since good Ol’ JR mentioned on his podcast that there have been speculations in the AEW locker room regarding Shane McMahon. First, the speculation was that the prodigal son was getting in touch with AEW talent; next came the reveal that Mercedes Mone spoke to McMahon. Now, after months of waiting, the IWC finally got to know what McMahon and Tony Khan had been cooking up. Here are all the details.

According to WrestleTalk and Fightful, Tony Khan and Shane McMahon had a private meeting this week. It occurred at a private Arlington airport on Monday, July 29, 2024. While Khan previously denied having spoken to McMahon, this meeting was the first time the two met.

Since the news broke that McMahon was trying to get back into the wrestling scene with AEW, fans have had questions. The biggest is why not come back with WWE as his sister Stephanie McMahon did this year. This began the rumors that there was bad blood between Shane and Triple H, who currently runs things. The last time Shane was seen in WWE was back in 2023’s WrestleMania 39.
