Two weeks ago WWE legend and Hall of Famer made his debut on AEW. It thrilled the AEW Universe to have him in the promotion. Can you guess which wrestling personality are we talking about? If you guessed John Cena‘s iconic rival from ECW, Rob Van Dam, then you are absolutely correct. Good guess, folks!

Last week, he wrestled his debut match in the company. The pro wrestling fans were greatly impressed by his performance inside the ropes. And it looks like the AEW fans will see more from him in the coming weeks and months.

Inside The Ropes exclusively reported that in the upcoming edition of podcast  1 Of A Kind, which will release on August 14, Monday, RVD talked about his future in AEW. He stated, “Well, was it talked about between me and Tony [Khan] about me coming back? Yeah. The details of that conversation? We’ll have to wait and see.”

This might mean that RVD will stay in the Jacksonville-based promotion for a while. During the interview, he also revealed that Tony Khan was also impressed with his debut in-ring performance. “He [Khan] was very thankful. Very thankful. He loved the match. He said it was awesome, and it was awesome having me there,” he added.

Why wouldn’t Khan be impressed with his performance at AEW? He sure did blow the roof off on AEW Dynamite last week.

RVD challenged the FTW Champion on AEW Dynamite last week

Two weeks before, on August 2, the AEW Universe saw RVD making his debut on AEW. Jerry Lynn revealed he had called him to come and aid him in defending ECW’s pride and taking down the FTW Champion, Jack Perry. As Lynn was injured, he couldn’t handle Perry all by himself, so he asked for his former ECW colleague’s help.

This led to Van Dam challenging the champion on last week’s edition of the Wednesday Night show. He put in a brilliant performance against the champion inside the ring but couldn’t capture the title. At one point, he came very close to doing so, but it just wasn’t his day.
