After he left WWE in 2016, Ryback has not returned to mainstream wrestling. However, this did not stop fans from speculating he will show up in other major wrestling promotions.
In a recent Twitter Q&A session, Ryback teased the fans a bit more. With his contempt towards WWE, he might likely turn up in AEW.
One fan asked him what will be his ideal booking in AEW. Answering the question, Ryback said, “Break Goldberg’s streak by actually working and being able to cut coherent promos that make sense with real emotion and dedication to my craft.”

Throughout his career, Ryback has been compared to Goldberg, both inside and outside the ring. Recently, Goldberg made his WWE return on RAW challenging Drew McIntyre.

With his answer, Ryback not only criticized Goldberg but also WWE as they keep trying to build the latter as invincible.
Ryback reveals his dream match in AEW
Ryback again referred to AEW as he said he would love to face Cody Rhodes in a 60-minute match (probably Iron Man match), ending with him “holding the title.”

He has already praised AEW for “making” talent. AEW’s EVPs Kenny Omega and Young Bucks are the World Champion and Tag Team Champions, respectively. Cody too has been a TNT champion. Ryback recently discussed how the EVPs had to “make” stars.
“Everything they’re [AEW] doing is working in terms of long term. The Young Bucks, Kenny, Cody, how they were booked early on? People kind of thought didn’t understand it. I can look at it and see that they needed to kind of help ‘make’ other people first.”
Ryback also said how amazing it is to see newer stars getting the build-up and push they need, “It’s the coolest thing to watch, as everyone’s getting elevated in the TV game and becoming bigger and bigger stars. But Kenny now can really turn it up, and I think he’s more comfortable? Just from what I’ve seen on AEW.”
