Last year, Miro (then known as Rusev) got released from WWE last year as a part of covid related budget cuts. This year, WWE released his wife Lana in a similar fashion ahead of live touring.

However, Lana, who now goes by CJ Perry, is making the best out of her time outside WWE. She has been answering fan questions regarding her release and other ventures on social media.

In a recent IGTV video, Lana revealed that ‘The Bulgarian Brute’ was rather happy he got released from WWE. She is looking forward to “standing up & speaking out on things that for years she has been silent about.”

While she was talking about the fan support she got after getting released, she “spilled the tea” about her husband’s genuine reaction following his departure. Contrary to popular belief, Miro was “elated.”

You guys have helped me through some parts that I definitely have cried,” she said. “But it’s normal, it’s normal. You know, some people don’t. My husband, Miro, was doing cartwheels when he got released, out of excitement. We all have different reactions, and it’s okay not to be okay.”

Will we see Lana with Miro in AEW?

Lana and Rusev were an incredible couple in WWE since the day they debuted. However, WWE decided to destroy that as they conjured up a love triangle between Bobby Lashley and the couple. Lana ultimately betrayed Rusev.

However, they are chemistry outside; the ring is still intact. Per WWE rules, Lana was not allowed to talk about Rusev after he became Miro in AEW. Hence, she could not congratulate him after he won the TNT Championship.
