For many years, wrestlers have shifted companies and often made a move to a rival one. In recent times, released or fired WWE Superstars are making a move to the up and coming wrestling promotion AEW.
From AEW World Champion Jon Moxley (Dean Ambrose), AEW TNT Champion Brodie Lee (Luke Harper) to the eponymous Chris Jericho and Cody Rhodes, the list gets longer. Now, another former WWE superstar has teased a move to AEW.

The tweet is very ambiguous. However, many fans are assuming this tweet was a sign that Matt is joining the Dark Order’s ranks, or at least he is interested in AEW. Brodie Lee is the leader of the AEW stable Dark Order.
Matt’s previous WWE character, Aiden English, was a prominent name on WWE NXT. He won the NXT Tag Team Championship back in 2014. English couldn’t achieve much on the main roster. However, his run with Rusev as a part of the ‘Rusev Day’ was highly acclaimed. In fact, he was a big part of the Bulgarian star’s success before the duo was disbanded.
He recently shifted to commentary before WWE released him in April during the budget cuts for the COVID-19 pandemic.
In March, Brodie Lee laid his Luke Harper to rest and embraced “the exalted one” in AEW. Maybe, Rehwoldt is also planning on that.

Performer or Commentator?
Matt Rehwoldt recently appeared on the Warren Hayes Podcast. He talked about how he discovered his love for commentary in WWE.
“Honestly, I ended up learning a lot more and falling in love with [the commentary] side of it more than I thought I’d do, which is why I ended up staying, and I credit a lot of that to the guys I was thrown out there with.”

He thanked WWE commentators Vic Joseph and Nigel McGuinness, and said, “They took me under their wing there was no, as it’s so often in the wrestling business edginess with the new kid or anything like that, they were so cool and just welcoming.”
Will Matt Rehwoldt debut in AEW? If yes, would he be a wrestler or a commentator? What does Dark Order have to do with this? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below.
