Some of the WWE fans treasure Ricochet and appreciate his performance during his matches. The wrestler has shown incredible aerial feats, but it seems like we won’t be seeing them in WWE anymore. It appears that the in-ring talent’s contract with the promotion is coming to a close. This could mean that Tony Khan may win him over with a lucrative contract.

There is a major reason that could have stopped him from leaving WWE, but it seems like that won’t be in the way anymore as Dave Meltzer Sean Ross Sapp offered different takes on the situation.

Ricochet could show up in AEW soon

Ricochet’s WWE contract is coming to a close. The wrestler performing aerial stunts may be one of the stars to leave WWE this year. Since his contract is expiring soon, fans should not expect Ricochet to be at the next PLE anytime soon. If he opts out of the Stamford-based company, we may not see him in the promotion at all for some time. There is a rumor that he could end up joining AEW instead.

To tackle this rumor, a fan argued online that since Samantha Irvin’s WWE contract hasn’t yet expired, Ricochet wouldn’t go anywhere else. However, Sean Ross Sapp uploaded a few pictures to exemplify that couples often work in different promotions. Dave Meltzer also added to the discussion by tweeting on his timeline, “Hard to say now. His style fits better with AEW, but the answer is where he would be happiest because he has alternatives where he can make good money either way.”

This was in reply to a fan who had asked Meltzer where he would like to go if he was Ricochet. Since the Wrestling Observer reporter believes that Ricochet would have good money in either of the promotions, he may move over to AEW to try out new things. He also believes that his ‘style’ suits Tony Khan better.

Meanwhile, Ricochet won’t be the only one leaving WWE at the same time.

Other stars to follow Ricochet’s footsteps

There are many other WWE stars whose contracts are also ending around the same time as Ricochet. The names include Becky Lynch, Natalya, Dijak, and Chad Gable. Much like Ricochet, their destiny is also a mere prediction at this point. However, The Man has a higher chance of debuting in Tony Khan’s promotion according to reports.

It is believed that Lynch can make a move to AEW and start a feud with another former WWE superstar Mercedes Mone.
