Botches are an unavoidable part of the wrestling industry. Whether in the squared circle or on the mic, there are bound to be some mistakes. In yesteryears, botches were sometimes unnoticed.

However, in today’s day and age of social media, fans are unrelenting and are ready to pounce on any errors that creep in. That was certainly the case for an AEW wrestler, as he tried to match WWE legend John Cena on the mic.

Emulating a great is never easy, and the performer found about it the hard way. Wrestlers have to spend years perfecting their craft in the ring or on the mic.

It takes immense confidence to even speak in front of such an audience, never mind a promo. Wrestler Max Caster is known as a rapper as well, but he recently botched his lines during the recent AEW Rampage taping.

The wrestling career of Max Caster

Caster is one-half of the AEW tag team champions along with Anthony Bowen. During his entrance to the LA event, he forgot his lines while rapping.

The wrestler made his AEW debut in 2020 and had been marred in a huge controversy back in 2021. His rap then consisted of subjects that enraged many.

The relatively newer promotion has had its fair share of issues. CM Punk’s infamous outburst at the last year’s media scrum is still fresh in everyone’s minds. His comments on AEW star Hangman Adam Page also could not sit well with fans.

The wrestling world is not new to Rapping, with legend John Cena regularly using his talents to mock opponents. He famously brought back the freestyling to get one up in his then rivalry with The Rock.

Needless to say, The Cenation Leader’s command over words has largely been unmatched. It added a gloss to the already illustrious wrestling career that he had.

Fans react to Caster’s mistake, and John Cena added to the mix

Fans noticed Caster’s botch on AEW Rampage very quickly. Comparisons with Cena were also bound to happen. They took to social media in numbers to provide their views on the matter and as always, were quite unforgiving.
