“I mean, they’re both ridiculously hard workers. You know, there’s no doubt about that. I mean, Vince, Vince works his a** off. I mean, no one can ever take that away from him. Tony does as well. And, then on top of just also running AEW, Tony has so many other responsibilities. He, you know, has stuff to do with the NFL, you know, Jacksonville Jaguars. You know, he hasn’t flown the football team over in the UK. So he has a lot, he has a lot of stuff going on.”

There is no doubt that both McMahon and Khan are hard-workers. Both of them worked relentlessly on their companies to take it to new heights. But, maybe Tony Khan has Vince McMahon to thank for AEW’s success.

Vince McMahon is the reason Tony Khan could build AEW

It was McMahon who decided to break the regional barriers and take WWE (WWF at the time) to the audience beyond a particular territory. He worked rather hard to stand up against other promotion owners who came down on The Big Man for trying to entice audiences from every region with WWE’s productions.

Not only did he work on taking WWE to USA television for everyone in the nation to see WWE, he worked to take it to the audience globally. Had Vince not taken this bold step, there is a huge possibility AEW’s productions wouldn’t be available to the global audience.

Therefore, while both of them worked and continue to work extremely hard for their companies, The Big Man paved the path that helped every wrestling promotion take their product to the global audience.
