AEW star Maxwell Jacob Friedman is arguably one of the best heels working in pro wrestling at the moment. The current AEW World Champion proved his ‘bad guy’ nature earlier this year as he got into a non-scripted interaction with a little fan. At AEW Revolution, the promotion’s first pay-per-view event of the year, MJF threw a glass of liquid at the fan. While the spectators are used to his villainous antics, the action brought him real-life heat. It was later revealed that All Elite Wrestling did not plant there the child, effectively making it an impromptu work by the wrestler.

However, fans approved of the 27-year-old star after a recent video caught him breaking his heel character backstage at an AEW event.

The video portrayed the Salt of the Earth interacting with seamstress Sandra Gray while picking up his costume from the 67-year-old. In it, the AEW Dynamite Diamond Ring holder appeared rather courteous and jolly while complimenting her work.

Fans agreed with MJF’s treatment of the AEW staff and gave their seal of approval.

Reacting to the post on Twitter, this user said even a cold-hearted person like MJF loves Sandra.

While this user said no one starts a beef with the person who controls the former’s look.

Sandra Gray is credited with designing former WWE star Naomi’s signature glow-in-the-dark costumes. She also designed the 35-year-old Impact Wrestling star’s wedding gown.

MJF’s reaction elicited similar responses from fans.

Meanwhile, the star had earlier hinted at a move to WWE. Reacting to the rumors, a former WWE employee has provided his take on the issue.

Freddie Prinze Jr, who worked as a writer for the Stamford-based promotion, weighed in on MJF’s rumored future move. Speaking to prominent podcast host Chris Van Vliet, Freddie said MJF wouldn’t get AEW-kind of freedom in WWE.

“The character of MJF will go wherever the money’s best. But I think special stars get special treatment and exceptions are made for exceptional people. And I feel like any offer WWE would make, Tony Khan would match it. MJF has a ton of freedom where he’s at,” the 47-year-old said.
