In September 2023, Bryan Danielson revealed to the world his decision to go through his final year as a full-time competitor. The American professional wrestler indicated his interest in taking advantage of his momentum in All Elite Wrestling. Thus resulting in matches that were highly applauded by the public.

However, he is reaching the end of his career now. His deal with the Tony Khan-led promotion is nearing its end as well. So what’s next for Danielson? What does Tony Khan have in mind for the American Dragon? Let’s find out.

Over the past few months, Bryan Danielson has reiterated on multiple occasions that his full-time career is coming to an end. This change is mainly because, over the years, his body has become more prone to injury. Adding to an extensive history of serious injuries in the past. Therefore, Danielson is already contemplating his life beyond wrestling.

In a recent interview with Shak Wrestling, Tony Khan revealed that he is well aware of Danielson’s desire to stop. However, he also wants the American Dragon to stay All Elite. And for that, he believes that he would love to keep Danielson in AEW.

Even if it means having him backstage to help run the promotion alongside Tony Khan. The 43-year-old is someone he talks to every day. However, he is still not sure if that will actually be able to come to fruition.

“I don’t know whether he’ll be wrestling full-time after that. But I really hope Bryan will stay with me here in the office forever. And now that there’s a virtual office and he can do things like that. You know. Have a video chat like we’re having right now. And you know he could be out on the west coast and I can be in Jacksonville, for example, at you know any given time, and we could talk every day. That makes it really exciting. And I do talk to Brian pretty much every day whenever I can so I hope that will continue for the rest of our lives.”

In his life plans after his retirement, Danielson revealed that one of his primary goals is to get involved in his community and improve people’s lives. He also mentioned that he wants to be actively involved in his children’s school system, so he will dedicate part of his life to it. Bryan Danielson’s contract comes to an end just weeks before All-In 2024. He and the company are expected to reach a new agreement that will allow him to reach WrestleDream for his last major full-time match.
