But the WWE star just shared major news with her fans, as Ripley and Buddy Matthews revealed on Instagram that the duo have tied the knot, specifically last Sunday, June 23. In the post, Ripley wrote “Until Death 🖤 23.06.24” as the two can be seen kissing while Mami holds a bouquet. Leaving a heartbroken Dom-Dom behind. Buddy Matthews and Rhea Ripley have been together as a couple since September 2021. The duo then took things further back in August 2023, as Mami announced their engagement on Instagram in a post captioned “1000x YES! Pure happiness!” with a photograph of both wrestlers in front of the beach. Many of their fellow superstars such as Bayley, Maxxine Dupri, Roxanne Perez, and Bronson Reed, among others, congratulated them in the comments. And now the duo have finally tied the knot in what looks like a beautiful ceremony. Now that they have completed almost all the steps, the one that remains is having a child together as the two are yet to become parents.

But Ripley surely did change the life of her husband. Matthews went through a tumultuous personal time due to the breakup with her ex-partner Alexa Bliss, who later began dating her then-boyfriend and now husband, singer Ryan Cabrera. But it seems that with Ripley by his side, the AEW star has put not only his life on track but also his career as a professional wrestler.
He is currently part of The House Of Black, a group featuring Brody King and Malakai Black. Currently, they are one of the most feared stables in All Elite Wrestling. On the other hand, Rhea Ripley is going through an injury that has kept her out of the ring since April. She suffered a partial tear of the acromioclavicular ligament (or AC), located in the shoulder area. The injury forced Rhea Ripley to vacate the Women’s World Championship, a title currently held by Liv Morgan. But when will she be making her return?

Rhea Ripley has been absent from WWE’s weekly programming since mid-April when she had to vacate the Women’s World Championship. A little more than two months have passed and now an update has been given on her recovery and a possible return date. As reported on Fightful Select, WWE is prepared for Ripley to return when she is ready, even without having to fight immediately when she does.
There is hope that she can appear on screen again before SummerSlam, which will take place on August 3. There have already been internal discussions in WWE about how to integrate Rhea Ripley back into the Women’s World Championship scene.
